Our Big Families
We are surrounded by family, it wouldn't be a normal day if a grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle or cousin didn't drop by to say hello. McKell has three siblings and Nate has five, all of which live within a short driving distance. Our boys have seven cousins on the Dennis side, three on the Murdoch side.
Murdoch Family
Mimi and Poppy
Meet my parents: Reed and Angie Murdoch. The grandkids know them as Poppy and Mimi. Their house is the gathering place, and we spend a lot of time there. My kids think Mimi and Poppy's house is magical, and they ask almost daily if we can go visit.

My mom is what makes her house so magical. She is so warm and welcoming; the second you walk in, she wants to feed you, and she always has something fun to do up her sleeve.
My dad provides all the fun toys. This past summer all the kids had an electric car to drive around the yard. We had races, car washes, and a lot of drivers ed going on. Their yard is kid paradise! |
Whitlie, Dallin, Brynlee, and Clayton Kauffman
My sister Whitlie is 3 years older than me and has always been my best friend. Whitlie, her husband Dallin, and Nate all went to high school together and were very good friends. Dallin and Whitlie have a 8-year-old daughter named Brynlee and a 6-year-old son named Clayton.

Nana and Papa
Meet my parents-in-law: Blaine and Carolyn Dennis. In our house, we call them Nana and Papa. We love spending time with Nana and Papa, whether it’s visiting their house or them coming to visit us. They are always up for us just dropping by to enjoy some time with them. They give the best advice and always have our best interest in mind.
|
Nana always knows how to make my boys happy. She creates all kinds of fun: making homemade play dough (Chase’s favorite); playing Battleship, Spot It, or Legos, racing cars, or arranging animals. The boys are never bored at Nana’s. She’s always getting down on the floor with them and enjoying them. We can’t ever leave Nana’s house without them having a quick back scratch. Nana draws animals or dinosaurs on their back while she gives them a back scratch and they LOVE guessing what she is drawing.
Papa is our favorite. He takes us to his cabin, sledding, and to Lake Powell. Papa’s truck and Papa’s boat are two of my boy’s favorite places. They love riding in the back of Papa’s truck around the cabin and going on joy rides in Papa’s boat. Papa fixes anything that gets broken and makes sure the boys get a hug whenever they need it. |
